My site is currently set up so that when you click on a location, it goes to all of the listings in that location. I have done this by directing the location tag to a search url for listings in that location. Since the site is selling timeshares, there are lots of listings under the same resorts, and lots of resorts under the same location.

How can I make the layout work as follows:
Click on a location> location takes you to resorts within location> click on a resort and listings within that resort are displayed. We already have well over 200 listings uploaded so I would like to be able to do this without having to make changes to each listing.

You can see the site here- http://itc-loscabos.com/itxwp/

    Thanks!

You might want to check out the location profiles extension, it was built for this.

We are working on an update to the location profiles extension to further output more details and select the type of content you want to output.

An alternative is to create a page for each location and use the [listing_location] shortcode

So I just purchased the location profiles plugin. How can I link the listings to the corresponding location profile?

I decided to use the listing category short code as all of the resorts were named in the same meta box.

Is there any way to set up the page so that there is a “See Listings” Button that will take the user to a page with all relevant listings to that resort?

Also, can I add custom meta boxes to the location profile page? Would it work the same way as adding one to a listing page?

    Thanks for your purchase Billy,

How can I link the listings to the corresponding location profile?
    — When editing a listing make sure you have set a location in the Taxonomy (like post categories)
    — Then set the same location to your location profile
    — We have not added that feature to automatically display linked listings yet. Will be adding this in the next version so it works like the Staff Directory. Had to get 12 extension updates out first.
    — What you can do is add the shortcode to the content area. eg [listing_location post_type=”property” status=”current” location=”sorrento” template=”table”]

Is there any way to set up the page so that there is a “See Listings” Button that will take the user to a page with all relevant listings to that resort?
    — Yes, as each location is a taxonomy you can view these and add your button to the location profile
    — eg http://connectedrealestate.com.au/sites/epl-testing/reset/suburb/perth/
    — Where suburb might be named differenty depending on your setup. To get there use Dashboard > Property > Location/Suburb(again depends on what you named it) Then view one of your locations
    — This works like post categories.

Also, can I add custom meta boxes to the location profile page? Would it work the same way as adding one to a listing page?
    — Not like the core plugin, we made upgrades in 2.3 which will let us do this. in the meantime use a ACF (advanced custom fields) plugin or similar.
