    Hi again,
    On the listing page I’d like to make the following modifications. Would you please direct me? See screenshots attached with arrows.

    Address is showing up on heading line with /
    Is this because the heading is too long?
    I’d like to hide the address at the top (above the photo) and only show it below the large text heading/name of property in the Description section.

    I’d like to remove the , after the “suburb” which in this case are all going to be islands. I will not ever be using the state for this site.

    I’d like to hide the bed and bath icons and the 1 /1 and only show the price in that top right corner where it is.

    It seems like the Property Details section is too much the same as the heading above the photo. I’d like to hide that entire section. The section header “Property Details”, the line and the info contained there.

    I’d like to hide the word “Description” and the line under it so that the larger text heading is the first thing under the top photo.

    I’d like the address to show where right now it says “Unit – Oahu”
    I want to hide “unit” and only have the street address, city and suburb/island show under the name of the property

    Property Features section:
    I don’t want “unit” to show there
    I absolutely must find a way to not have the additional features be links

    Second photo:
    What drives the two photos appearance? I have a featured image set. Is that what is appearing in the first photo spot, at the top of the page? What is making the second photo show up there. It’s being cropped and enlarged to look bad. How do I control this?

    Also, this is where I’d want to have a photo gallery. Let’s say I have ten photos. I have Soliloquy. Is that what I would use here?

    Map:
    How do I set it so that by default it shows the satellite view rather than the map view?

    Below the map? What is that red update button and how can I hide that entire section?

    Finally:
    If I want the content area to be wider and give less space to the widget area, how would I do this? I’m familiar with the layouts & views section in Builder but I don’t think these pages.

    Which template files are being used? Is this the “expanded” template?

    Sorry…I know that’s a lot of questions and customizations! But if I can make these changes and learn where everything is controlled I’ll be able to implement faster for the next projects without having to bother you so much 🙂

    Thanks in advance again.

    I solved some of these but am stuck with ones I can’t figure out. Also, I am not seeing the option to edit the original post above. So, this is the list I’m stuck on and need help with (the items which are bolded):

    I’m continuing have listing page challenges, probably because of the modifications I’ve made, perhaps incorrectly.

    Questions:
    How do I get it to use my “top nav” menu like my other pages do? Do I need to tell it to use a builder layout? If so, how can I make it so everytime my client adds a new listing by default it’s using the layout I want it to use (which would have my top nav menu and a right side bar)

    At the top, I want it to say the name of the property then below it the city, island (suburb). Right now it’s just showing island (suburb) and a ,
    I want it to be City , Island

    Of course the property features aren’t showing up because I created them in the edit listing code but not whereever else they need to be. How do I get them set up where they need to be to display properly?

    I changed settings to not display a gallery. I want to be able to add a nice image gallery. Where/how do I add it in? I have Sililoquy. I would think I’d want to be able to drop them in after the Property Features section. Of course they would be different for each property though so it can’t be hard coded in.

    What is that update button under the map? How do I remove that section or would it not show up live if I weren’t logged in?

    Also, I’d still like the “how to unlink additional features” to remain on the Feature Request list but as I don’t have time to wait for it for this site, on a tight deadline, I’ll just have to put those in the content area as bullet lists. Please do advise when you are able to make it so the additional features don’t have to be linked.

    Relevant files attached. Please help me figure out where to go from here.

    Thanks again.

    For some reason the Right Sidebar – Content -Right widget area is being pushed down to below the map?

    Please see screenshots…

    Why don’t I see categories on my edit listing page?
    How would I assign the listings to an island (category)?

    Thanks

    Update: I made a builder layout for “Listings” with my top nav menu, right widget etc.
    Selected that from the edit listing page.
    Now it’s got my layout with one problem: The right widget is still down below the agent section. Maybe a broken div?

    Restored original content-single-listing.php file. Right side widget is back where it belongs.

    Never mind that one 🙂

    Thanks

    Is it not offering me a category because this is a page not a post? I thought these listings were posts…

    Update:
    Getting closer but stuck.

    At the top, above the “Oahu, Hawaii” line, I want the street address to not be there, but do want the property name there. If it’s calling H1 entry title, why isn’t the entry title what shows up? That’s what I want to have there, no street address, yes property name (H1 title)

    Still need help getting custom Property Features set up properly.

    Still need help with the structure issue.

    Thanks

    I would also like for the street address to not appear in the Property Details area. Just “Oahu, Hawaii” and the price.

    Minor spacing issue request for help.

    I dropped Property Details into the Property Description area to get it in the order I wanted it and removed the words “Property Description” and “Property Details. But now the spacing is weird.

    I need to:
    Get the address/Oahu Hawaii/price up closer to the property name
    Give a line break between the price and “Timeshare Details” which I put in the h3 spot where before it was the unit type and address…I just hard coded those words instead.

    If there is a better way please tell me…otherwise please help me get the spacing right…

    Thanks…see screenshot and arrows…

    Update:
    I would actually really prefer to have no street address under the name (below the featured photo)
    and have Oahu, Hawaii and the price under that centered just below the property name under the photo.

    Then Timeshare Details after that as it is…

    Also on that screenshot can you tell me how to get the search box (which is in the right side widget) over a bit to the right so it’s not sitting right on the line around the listing?

    Q. I’d like to hide the address at the top (above the photo) and only show it below the large text heading/name of property in the Description section.

    Q. I’d like the address to show where right now it says “Unit – Oahu”
    I want to hide “unit” and only have the street address, city and suburb/island show under the name of the property

    A. You can create your own template following this guide.

    This will allow you to completely customize the order of the elements on your page and remove or add bits that you need and output any custom meta values that you are using.

    Q. I’d like to remove the , after the “suburb” which in this case are all going to be islands. I will not ever be using the state for this site.

    Add the following filter to your theme functions.php to remove that comma.

    add_filter( 'epl_property_address_seperator' , '' )

    Q. Property Features section: I don’t want “unit” to show there & I absolutely must find a way to not have the additional features be links

    A. There is no easy way to do this at the moment. Sorry.

    Q. Second photo:
    What drives the two photos appearance? I have a featured image set. Is that what is appearing in the first photo spot, at the top of the page? What is making the second photo show up there. It’s being cropped and enlarged to look bad. How do I control this?

    A. Goto Dashboard > Easy Property Listings > Settings > Listing Single View.

    Single Listing: Automatically display image gallery? & Single Listing: Gallery columns?

    This will output a gallery of images as seen here.

    Q. Also, this is where I’d want to have a photo gallery. Let’s say I have ten photos. I have Soliloquy. Is that what I would use here?

    You can but it depends on your goal. I prefer a gallery of images under a main hero image. Others like a click through gallery or slider.

    You can use the hooks in the template file to achieve this.

    <?php function my_custom_slider() {
         // Do something
         echo do_shortcode('[slider_shortcode]');
    }
    add_action( 'epl_property_featured_image' , 'my_custom_slider' );
    remove_action( 'epl_property_featured_image' , 'epl_property_featured_image' ); // Removes default image
    ?>

    Or because you are using iThemes builder you could add an HTML module and just insert the slider code. Then just use

    <?php remove_action( 'epl_property_featured_image' , 'epl_property_featured_image' ); // Removes default image ?>

    to remove the featured image.

    Q. How do I set it so that by default it shows the satellite view rather than the map view?

    A. The updated advanced map extension version 2.0 does this, the default map does not.

    Q. Below the map? What is that red update button and how can I hide that entire section?

    A. That is coming from the Listing Alerts extension. Enable some options from Dashboard > Easy Property Listings > Extensions > Listing Alerts

    Q. If I want the content area to be wider and give less space to the widget area, how would I do this? I’m familiar with the layouts & views section in Builder but I don’t think these pages.

    A. Edit your builder layout and modify the width of the sidebar in the content module.

    Q. Is it not offering me a category because this is a page not a post? I thought these listings were posts…

    A. They are posts, we have not associated categories with the post types.
