    Hi Merv,

    Just done a total fresh install of Feedsync for new project. The install went fine, but when I go to process I get all the usually suscess messages but nothing is written to feedsync-current.xml, its not updating. It’s a .zip file input, I can PM you withthe FTP details.

    Here are the server details, It’s not on cPanel, client has gone with some other host who is using “ISPConfig”

    http://kapalua.com.au/php_info.php
    Feed Sync is at: http://kapalua.com.au/XML/feedsync/

    I’ve put one .zip in the input dir for you, so you can see what happens when you process it, I get a path ‘/var/www/clients/client96/web129/web/XML/feedsync/processed/zips/temp/’ written at the top of the screen when I run it.

    I’ve set up feedsync about 4 times before but haven’t had this problem

    thanks

    Most likely hosting preventing writing of files. We are currently working on FeedSync 2.0 which is full database system so less issues with hosts preventing file writing. Did you enable the zip option?

    Hi Merv,

    I am responsible for the host that Anthony is speaking about with the above issue.

    We are not using lightspeed, we are using Apache 2.2.22 on Debian 7.0, with PHP 5.4.39

    When testing feedsync by pressing ‘process feed’ the following is happening :

    When a zip file is in the ‘input’ directory it unzips it and moves it to the processed directory
    Three files are created in ‘outputs’ directory:
    feedsync-current.xml
    <?xml version=”1.0″?>
    <propertyList date=”2015-05-12-18:37:45″ username=”kapaluakapalua” password=”pw/replaced”/>

    feedsync-soldleased.xml
    <?xml version=”1.0″?>
    <propertyList date=”2015-05-12-18:37:45″ username=”kapaluakapalua” password=”pw/replaced”/>

    feedsync-withdrawn.xml
    <?xml version=”1.0″?>
    <propertyList date=”2015-05-12-18:37:45″ username=”kapaluakapalua” password=”pw/replaced”/>

    the 3x files are appearing in the outputs button from the test page.

    This looks like PHP is able to write the files ?

    Regards,

    Richard

    I’m just packing up FeedSync v2.0 which will solve your server file write/permissions issue. It’s been completely re-written.

    Just uploading a tutorial to YouTube
