I can’t get the properties to display with either method you sent over.
Doing it with Land Category:
I was able to change the Land Categories to be my sub-divisions. However, I can’t get any listings to show up even though I have put some in that category. It displays nothing found.Short codes:
[listing_category post_type=”land” category_key=”property_land_category” category_value=”mogollon”]
–Also Tried–
[listing_category post_type=”land” category_key=”property_land_category” category_value=”Mogollon Ranch”]Doing it With Suburbs:
This short code: displays nothing found even though I know I have properties listed that way.[listing_category post_type=”property” category_key=”property_suburb” category_value=”Mogollon Ranch”]

Thank you,March 4, 2015 at 11:38 am #6067sylviatopimrSpectatorHey there did you get in? I sent the login url in a private response.

March 6, 2015 at 12:42 am #6132sylviatopimrSpectatorI am able to navigate and log in. But I deactivated the security plugin until this is done. The regular login is now in place. Can you please take a look?
March 7, 2015 at 11:24 am #6175Merv BarrettKeymasterLooks like a conflict with Firestorm plugin even using [listing_category] should display all your listings but nothing appears and on my test site with Firestorm and wordpress debugger active there are errors. I’m assuming that the firestorm has a similar named shortcode.
Error firestorm produces is:
Notice: Undefined index: ListingsPageID in \wp-content\plugins\fs-real-estate-plugin\filters.php on line 8
I’d suggest deactivating Firestorm because the shortcode does work.
March 7, 2015 at 11:26 am #6176Merv BarrettKeymasterThese are other errors Firestorm plugin produces with WordPress debugger active.
Deprecated: mysql_query(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in \wp-content\plugins\fs-real-estate-plugin\define.php on line 4 Notice: Undefined index: ListingsPageID in \wp-content\plugins\fs-real-estate-plugin\define.php on line 78 Notice: Undefined index: FooterLink in \wp-content\plugins\fs-real-estate-plugin\define.php on line 269 Notice: Undefined index: ShowWelcome in \wp-content\plugins\fs-real-estate-plugin\define.php on line 277 Notice: Undefined index: ListingsPageID in \wp-content\plugins\fs-real-estate-plugin\common_functions.php on line 68 Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in \wp-content\plugins\fs-real-estate-plugin\common_functions.php on line 69 Notice: Undefined index: ListingsPageID in \wp-content\plugins\fs-real-estate-plugin\common_functions.php on line 69
March 7, 2015 at 11:52 am #6178Merv BarrettKeymasterAlternatively you can use the location taxonomy (currently called Suburb which you can change in settings)
Edit a listing, on the right hand side is Suburb, enter your location name.
This works like WordPress categories so you can automatically produce a list of listings in that location
eg:
http://upontherim.com/suburb/mogollon-ranch/
http://upontherim.com/suburb/happy-jack/BUT when you say rename the location from Suburb to say City or Town or whatever.
You will need to re-fresh your permalinks by visiting Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks and just press save changes.
March 8, 2015 at 12:31 am #6198sylviatopimrSpectatorYeah there are all sorts of errors. Firestorm used to be a good plugin but oh well.
So, when I remove the firestorm plugin it should work right? I can’t just use the full taxonomy as I need it separated by land and properties.
March 9, 2015 at 4:19 pm #6255Merv BarrettKeymasterJust deactivate Firestorm and see how that works. Do a backup before hand
March 9, 2015 at 11:43 pm #6264sylviatopimrSpectatorI deactivated it but all the shortcodes still show nothing found. What is the proper shortcode after this for pulling up the land category? I just want to make sure I have the correct one.
March 9, 2015 at 11:46 pm #6265sylviatopimrSpectatorAlso, if i just uninstall Firestorm do you think it will work?
