    Hi Merv,

Search results when using the search widget display fine if there are results to show, however when there are no results it is displaying a blank page.

Where is this being generated? And how can I override the search results view?

    Thanks,
    Grace

The search results page is generated via the archive-listng.php file. Either in the plugin or in your theme folder <<< priority easy-property-listings/lib/templates/themes/default You're theme is using the default template and I have not added the else statement as was done with the iThemes Builder. Will add to core update. Archive Pages Default Version --- Totally Absent... missing else statement. https://github.com/easypropertylistings/Easy-Property-Listings/blob/master/lib/templates/themes/default/archive-listing.php

If you edit this file to operate like below, please submit the change on GitHub. (You will become a contributor, listed in the plugin)

    Hi Merv,

I’ve added the ‘else’ statement to the archive-listing.php and moved a copy of it to my theme folder.

But somehow or other, when there is no listing found, it defaults to my loop.php file to return its ‘not found’ message – rather than using the ‘not found’ message in my overridden archive-listing.php… Do you know why that might be?

In other news, my boss is wondering whether there’s any way to keep the search box at the top of the page of the search results, so that people can try searching again more easily – and have it still retain the search inputs from the first search.

And also, they’re wondering if the map can filter down to the properties in the search results.

These two things are far beyond my coding abilities, and I’m guessing this goes beyond what you would offer support for? But the functionality might be something that others will ask for later.

    Cheers,
    Grace

Looks like you sorted this out? I see a page

    NO PROPERTIES FOUND

Listing not found, expand your search criteria and try again.
