Hi Merv,
Can you tell me how to change the title ‘Archive’ to ‘Property Listing’?Thanks,
OllieFebruary 3, 2015 at 6:21 pm #4799Merv BarrettKeymasterOnce you follow the setup guide as referred to here. You can do anything to the single-listing.php file or archive-listing.php and edit the default title. Currently your theme is not using the correct template files.
WordPress does not have a hook that allows this, so our solution is as simple as possible for widest theme support and full customisation.
February 5, 2015 at 1:13 am #4850olivertubbSpectatorHi Merv,
Sorry still not quite sure how to change just the title text which by default is set to Archive?
Can you advise? I did follow the installation procedure and thats all fine now.
Many thanks,
OllieFebruary 5, 2015 at 6:50 am #4852Merv BarrettKeymasterAny changes you make inside your new archive-listing.php file will change the title. Look for the word Archive and change it.
Here is the default template where you can copy the code from.
February 5, 2015 at 5:45 pm #4878olivertubbSpectatorI have searched the file archive-listing.php and it doesn’t include ‘Archive’ in the code?
Is it pulling the title in from somewhere else?February 5, 2015 at 5:51 pm #4879Merv BarrettKeymasterNo, which theme are you using?
February 5, 2015 at 5:57 pm #4880olivertubbSpectatorI am using Bridge from Qode. The website is..
http://www.philipboothesq.com/
If you click search, no need to select any options and the property list will come up with one property. Its all looking really good apart from needing to change the title text ‘Archive’
I copied your code but it messes up the page!
February 5, 2015 at 6:16 pm #4882Merv BarrettKeymasterThat is part of your theme.

What .php page do I modify to change the portfolio category “Archive” page? I want it to say the category selected, not “Archived”.

Appreciate the swift reply. Is it possible to change the code so that the Portfolio Category is shown as the title?

Hi,Regarding your first question, could you please submit a ticket to http://qode.ticksy.com/ and our support team will see what they can do to help you with this.
Regarding the css, you can add your css to your custom css field in Qode Options > General and use the .archive class to select that page.

February 5, 2015 at 6:29 pm #4883olivertubbSpectatorHi Merv,
Thanks for your help. I found the code in functions.php and changed as follows – $title = __(‘Property Listings’,’qode’);
Many thanks,
OllieFebruary 6, 2015 at 8:32 am #4908Merv BarrettKeymasterGreat. There are so many different themes available. Personally i’ve built every site using iThemes Builder… Even this one. I’ve never looked back since using it 5 years ago.
February 6, 2015 at 4:36 pm #4917olivertubbSpectatorThanks Merv, I am very impressed with Bridge from Qode and have built quite a few websites with this theme. Never shy to try something new though, will look into it.
All the best,
OllieFebruary 6, 2015 at 4:55 pm #4918olivertubbSpectatorJust one more question:-
On the templates for the property listing we have chosen to use Suburb Top and restyled it to suit but cannot see how to add the ‘read more’ button which features in the Address Top template?
Should i post this as a new topic?
Many thanks for all your support, it really is excellent.
February 10, 2015 at 1:46 pm #5078Merv BarrettKeymasterHi Ollie, please post as a new topic so we don’t lose track. We are updating the template extension and will factor the change into it to make it easier to add/remove
June 5, 2015 at 12:37 am #12126FedeSpectatorHi Guys,
I´ve been following this post as I also use Bridge (TF bestseller in 2014) and while my [listing] page looks fine, the single page is awful: http://ilovemallorca.wpengine.com/?rental=apartment-on-the-beach-near-the-best-beaches-in-mallorca
I´ve tried to change both archive-listing.php & single-listing.php code but the page still looks too wide and a blog post-lie entry with the property details has ‘appeared’ underneath after changing the single.php template name.
Thanks for your help.
