Hi there, I’m working on a clients real-estate website. I’m using feed sync and wpallimport to pull through property listings from the parent companies xml data feed. I’ve worked closely with the parent company to hone the property xml feed filtering, but because of inconsistent data entry rules there is a heck of a lot of properties in the feed that are just not required.

I’ve setup filtering rules in wp all import, but the clients requirements for what should show and what not is hard to define and more on a case by case basis. All property that comes into the website is set to draft status so we can delete unwanted properties. The problem is when you delete them they will come back through the next time when the import job runs again.

I know this probably more of wpallimport question but I’m after a best solution, where these unwanted properties are removed and not re-imported. Just wondering if you guys have come across this problem before and a best solution? Was considering adding another post type status ‘withdrawn’ and deleting associated media, but didnt really want to play around with wp core working. Any help or pointing the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    cheers
    peter

    Great questions Peter.

Have you filtered based on office ID? or do you need even deeper filtering than that?

No need for a new status as withdrawn already exists.

It is a filtering question that a priority support can help you with.
