    Hi Merv

Iv not committed to using EasyProperty Listings yet as i’m not sure I can achieve a couple of things that I need to. Hoping you can tell me here?

I want to be able to use different listing types, so rather than the standard options:

    Property (Residential)
    Land
    Rental
    Rural
    Commercial
    Commercial Land
    Business

I want to be able to use:

    Student houses
    House Rentals
    Rooms (house shares)
    Business property

And I want to be able to have some properties in two listing types (student houses may be also listed in the Rooms (House Shares) type.

    Is this possible?

Also, Is it possible to edit the “Additional features” lists which is available when creating a new property. several of them are not relevant for UK properties and it would be useful to be able to change some of them to more relevant wording. Foe example, we would need to have “Gas Central Heating”, Electric Storage Heating”, “electric Heating” in place of soem of the more exotic heating options.

I have tried adding these in the > Property > Features section, but they dont seem to appear anywhere?

    many thanks in advance.

    Hi Dave,

Yes all this is possible with Easy Property Listings. However you may not need additional post types as you can customise the House Types with a filter.

So most of these would fall under the rental post types.

    Student houses
    Rental > House Rentals
    Rental > Rooms (house shares)
    Business > Business property

    Modify Post Types

    Modify “Additional features”

    Hi Merv

Many thanks for this, seems to make sense to me. Im not the most technically minded WP user, but can probably figure this out!
I have another question, if that is OK.

Im struggling to se how to see how to include a property search in the main part of the page (as in your sample http://houseestateagents.com.au/). Am I missing something simple?

    many thanks in advance

    Dave

You can either use a widget if your theme has a widget area or use the [listing_search] shortcode.

    Hi Merv

Yes, I has seen that, but when I embed the short-code it puts a big “vertical” format search panel in. is there a version to put in a long thin version?
