    Hi there,

    I need to be able to change the front-end of the sidebar widget which you can see here:http://rusticspanishproperty.com/

    I need to be able to change the property categories (ie: villa, house, alpine) so that the new categories (ie; (ie; Townhouse / Country house / Land / Apartment) appear in the widget. I have added these new categories to the plugin’s functions.php file, and they appear in the new listings drop-down, but I want them to be visible in the sidebar search widget…can you tell me which files I need to edit?

    Also, I wish to add a radio button (tick box) to the existing 3 that are currently visible in the sidebar widget.

    Hi Gavin, thanks for purchasing priority support.

    You can add a filter to modify the property categories. On that page is a plugin you can download and install and modify the categories as per your needs.

    I think you have added the tick boxes already?

    Hi Merv,

    Thank you for the link to the plugin. I have installed and activated it.

    I have made the following code amendments / replacements:

    ‘townhouse’ => ‘Town House’,
    ‘countryhouse’ => ‘Country House’,
    ‘land-finca’ => ‘Land/Finca’,
    ‘villa’ => ‘Villa’,
    ‘apartment’ => ‘Apartment’,

    How do I define these categories as the ones that display in the sidebar search widget dropdown?

    Also, I need to add a tick box, and don’t know how to locate the code to do so. The exisiting ones were not added by me.

    Thankyou.

    Ah, just did this myself and thought something was wrong but thankfully not.

    Have you added some listings and published them in each category? Once you do they will appear in the search drop-down.

    The house category search will only show categories if listings actually exist and can be searched. This prevents your users ending up at “Listing Not Found” page constantly.

    See here.

    I used the default filters and I too did not see Casa. Once i edited a listing and set it to Casa the search House Category dropdown displayed Casa.
