Hi Merv,

When a search is run on:

http://www.davidclarke.co.uk/epl-rental-search/

the search widget disappears from the screen.

Seems to be an issue on IE and Chrome.

Hi Paul, sorry for the delay. If you add the Search widget to the blog sidebar it will show up on searches.

Hi Merv,

Sorry, but that is not it.

When I change the widget to ‘property’ the widget remains after search if I switch option to ‘rental’ after search widget disappears from screen and only title remains.

Just also to let you know with the latest EPC plugin update the property type filters plugin is defeated.

When a search is performed the function loads the default template and sidebar or your search sidebar as you can see from the site URL.

http://www.davidclarke.co.uk/?action=epl_search

So you need to configure your archive/blog template with the search widget. But am unsure as to how you have configured your theme pages/sidebars

I think you need to add it to your Secondary area, i’ve setup a similar demo using the Heuman theme here:

Hi Merv,

You were of course correct!

With the hueman theme the search results show on a single page type regardless of being sales or rental, therefore the solution is to set the [ is_archive ] Primary widget to one that covers both sales and rental. This prevents the search widget from disappearing.

I don’t know if search results could be set to individual post pages but this is a good solution anyway.

E.g. http://www.davidclarke.co.uk/?action=epl_search&property_status&post_type=property&property_location&property_category&property_price_from&property_price_to&property_bedrooms_min&property_bedrooms_max
