    Hi Merv,

I have some questions Re: attaching a contact form to an agent as an additional tab.

We’re going to set it up so that it’s actually a pop up form (this bit I know how to do, so that’s fine), but what I’m wondering is whether you’ve ever had anyone need the currently viewed property details to pass through to the form automatically?

I’m considering using the ‘Contact Form 7 Dynamic Text Extension‘ plugin, where I can add hidden fields that store data from the page.

Has any of your plugin users used this method?

Also, one other question, while I’m here, is there a way of showing multiple agents that are linked to a property, rather than just the main agent?

    Cheers,
    Grace

Nevermind about the first half of that question! I’ve discovered that Contact Form 7 comes built with the ability to pass the title of the post, and the author email through to the form.

For anyone else with the same issue, simply use the following tags in the mail part of the contact form:
    To: [_post_author_email]
    Subject: [_post_title]

And, actually, don’t worry about the question about multiple agents – I don’t think we really need this functionality.

    Cheers,
    Grace

Thanks for the tip, if you are using Gravity Forms you can add a hidden field and enable the “Dynamically Populate” option and add author_email. That will allow you to use 1 form and save the authors email when submitted. This lets you set up custom forwards direct to that author.

Alternatively you can enable the WordPress comments on properties and info can be submitted that way too.
