A client has requested that in addition to the ‘carport’ and ‘garage’ listing features, they’d also like to add fields for ‘car space’ and ‘secure parking’. Aside from these fields being output in the feature list, they would also need to be added to the $property_parking variable so that the sum of all four types of parking is shown next to the car icon in the applicable spots in the theme.
I could make these changes directly to the the plugin files, but obviously I don’t want to do that as the plugin needs to be upgradable. What is the best way to go about doing this? Is there a method I can use to extend the plugin through my theme’s functions file, or is there a premium extension available that would provide this functionality? Listing Unlimited looks like it might be along the lines of what I need, but there isn’t much info available.
