Hi Merv,
I am using EPL v2.24
I am a little confused by the process of adding/removing support images for a listing. I must say, the current method – outlined in the video tutorial – of adding images via the ADD MEDIA button is somewhat antiquated given the high quality of the plugin you have developed. I would have thought that a separate uploader specifically for these support images would compliment the standard WP ‘Featured Image’ uploader on the listing page.
In light of this, how is one able to remove a support image? Or change the order? Or select an image from the ‘Media Library’ instead of uploading from my computer? The former doesn’t seem to work.
Accessing these images seems impossible. Is there something I’m missing?
I have a client who is being very persistent on getting this issue resolved before they’ll add anymore listings. Is there a possibility you are working on an alternative method? Or is there a possible workaround available?
Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
cheers,
Adam- This topic was modified 8 years, 8 months ago by Adam Middlin.

August 7, 2015 at 6:14 pm #15859Merv BarrettKeymasterHi Adam, the majority of websites that we create automatically import the images from another source where the real estate agents control the order from their internal system.
Additionally if you rename the images into the order that you want them to appear you can drop the lot in all at once.
Also you can disable the automatic gallery output and manually add a gallery to each listing where you can control the order and location of the images.

Thank you for the timely reply.
My client has plans to use Real XML for generating Listing content. However, until that is set in motion, they wish to manually add their listings.
Can you please direct me to where I can “disable the automatic gallery output”? In terms of “manually adding a gallery to each listing”… Are you referring to the standard method of ‘Creating a Gallery’ via the ‘Add Media’ button on the WP wysiwyg editor? If so, I was unable to make this work with the new ‘Sliders Extension’ I’ve installed. The gallery just displays in the default WP gallery layout.
cheers,
AdamAugust 10, 2015 at 10:22 am #16024Merv BarrettKeymasterThe Gallery option is part of Easy Property Listings. Visit Dashboard > Easy Property Listings > Settings > Single Listing View > Automatically display image gallery?

— Yes, just add images directly to a listing. All the added images will be added to the slider
August 10, 2015 at 10:25 am #16027Merv BarrettKeymasterDo you have a URL? (I have the url from other topic)
Is the gallery loading on any listings?
Have you enabled Theme Compatibility mode? (perhaps you have disabled the EPL images.- This reply was modified 8 years, 8 months ago by Merv Barrett.

Did you add the images to the post /adams-test-listing/ or select a bunch of images from other posts.
If you add the images directly to /adams-test-listing/ the slider will display. If there is only a featured image and no other attached images to that listing/post the slider will not display.
You must upload the images to a specific listing. We have no slider shortcode currently and are working on that along with the image order control.

For ‘adams-test-listing’ I added the images by ‘Creating a Gallery’ using images already present in the Media Library. Eg. [gallery ids="681,680,679,678,677,676"]
I then decided to add the images using the method from the video tutorial and it worked. However, this method only seems to work if you are uploading the images from your computer and not when selecting them from the Media Library. Is there a way to do this? Perhaps in the situation where the client has done a bulk upload to the Media Library and wants to simply select the images from there instead?
I also noticed the drop down in your screenshot is populated with “Uploaded to this Post”. This means I can reorder/add/remove images from the listing. I did not realise this function until now. Thank you for indirectly pointing this out. As a suggestion: When it comes to updating your Video Tutorial, you might want to include this very important step to show how the listing images can be added/removed and reordered after the fact.
I will instruct my client on how to do this. Apart from my question above, you can consider this issue resolved. Thank you Merv.
There is one last thing that relates to the forced height of the slider being set to 500px high. I created a separate ticket regarding this issue. If you could look into this it would be much appreciated.

AdamAugust 10, 2015 at 4:46 pm #16076Adam MiddlinSpectatorHi Merv,
Looks like the resolution was premature. Reordering/adding or removing images from a listing using the Add Media function does not seem to work. The changes I make are not taking place in the front-end. I can only view the images attached to the listing. That is all. Which isn’t very helpful to my client.
cheers,
AdamAugust 11, 2015 at 11:24 am #16146Merv BarrettKeymasterOrdering is not yet possible nor is creating the slider using a shortcode. We are working on an update to do both. You can delete an image and it will be removed from the slider.
