FeedSync 3.9 is here, and it’s the last release of legacy FeedSync

This is the one we’ve been building toward. FeedSync 3.9 is the final release of the legacy self-hosted software, and it exists to do one thing: make moving to the FeedSync Service as easy as pressing a button.

We took a genuinely complex task, moving your entire listing history from a self-hosted install onto a managed service, and turned it into a few simple steps. It’s ready.

The part I’m most excited about: your full history comes with you

Here’s what makes this more than just a migration.

Legacy FeedSync only ever shows you the final state of a listing, what it looks like right now. But every time your CRM sent an update over the years, that data was there. The 3.9 migration pulls all of it across.

That means when you move, you don’t just bring your current listings. You bring the complete history of every listing you have ever listed in FeedSync, and the Service turns it into a full analytical picture of your entire business: days on market, sales, rentals, price changes, everything, going right back.

Most agencies have never seen their own history laid out like this. It’s been sitting in the data the whole time.

The migration builds you a complete picture.

How the migration works

We built the whole thing into this final release, so it’s genuinely a few steps:

1. Login to your FeedSync installation and update to 3.9. Everything below lives in this final release, so make sure you’re on it first.

2. Start the migration from your legacy FeedSync install. You’ll get two options:

  • New to the Service? It creates your account for you and migrates all your listings into a fresh feed, ready to go.
  • Already set up an account? You’ll be given a spot to enter a migration key. Grab the key from your Service account, choose which feed you want the data to land in, and it migrates straight into your existing setup. No duplicate feeds, no mess, and it slots your full history in behind the listings your CRM is already delivering.
The Move to FeedSync Service migration screen with both account options

Two paths, both simple, whether you’re brand new or already set up.

3. FeedSync compresses and delivers all your processed data from the legacy install straight into that feed. Every listing, full history.

4. Log in, open Feeds, edit the feed and name it your company name, then select your CRM, and press “Email CRM.” That sends your CRM provider the details to start pushing your listings straight to the Service..

5. Press the Connect Site button to download the FeedSync Companion plugin on your WordPress site, add your site URL and open the magic link to connect your site to the Service.

6.Switch on the bridge so you’re live straight away. This is the bit that means you don’t have to wait on anyone. CRM providers can take a while to switch your feed over to push to the Service directly, and you shouldn’t be stuck in limbo while they do. Turn on the bridge in 3.9 and your legacy install keeps catching your CRM’s listings and forwards them straight into your Service feed automatically. Your site stays live and current the whole time. Connecting it is one click: press “Connect Web Push from FeedSync Service” and 3.9 fetches your API details for you, then test and save. Once your CRM confirms they’ve switched over, the bridge simply becomes a backup you can turn off.

The Connect Web Push button that fills in your API details automatically

One click. Connect Web Push fills in your details for you.

That’s it. Your listings are flowing to the Service and updating your website from day one, and once your CRM is pushing to us directly, the whole legacy stack falls away.

Then clear out the old machinery

This is the satisfying part, and it’s where the speed comes from. With your listings coming from the Service, the old import stack is just dead weight on your site. Clear it out:

  • Deactivate WP All Import Pro and the Easy Property Listings XML/CSV importer add-on. This is the whole reason we built the Service. Those plugins did the heavy lifting before, and they’re what hammered your hosting. You don’t need them anymore.
  • Turn on image processing in FeedSync Service → Sites → Enable cron job. This is the one worth doing properly. It runs your image processing on a real schedule. Skip it and the Service falls back to WP Cron, which works fine but only fires when someone visits your site, so on a quiet site it can lag. A proper cron job just runs.
  • Remove the old import plugin’s cron jobs from your server if you had any. No more sync firing every ten minutes in the background.

Every one of these takes load off your site, and the difference is immediate.

What you’ve actually gained

We’ve taken a stack of separate moving parts, each with its own point of failure, and turned it into one streamlined system. No more imports running on your site, no cron jobs, no plugin to babysit, no wondering whether the feed ran. Your CRM sends a listing, and it’s on your site.

See how the Service manages your site →

And once you’ve migrated, do one thing for me: open your dashboard. You’ll see a complete snapshot of your entire business, the history, the numbers, the whole picture, for the first time. That’s the moment it clicks.

Ready to move?

Two ways to get started:

  • Do it yourself: pick your plan and start your migration →. 3.9 makes it a one-click job that brings your full history with it.
  • Or let us help: just reply to this email and we’ll sort your plan and move you across. No wrestling with anything, we do the work.

Legacy FeedSync will be supported for the next 60 days, until 5 December 2026, so there’s plenty of time to move across smoothly. But the sooner you move, the sooner you’re on the better system, so don’t leave it to the last week.

Stay tuned. Next week I’ll tell the full story of legacy FeedSync, how it started 15 years ago with one client and one problem, and why we built the service that’s now replacing it. It’s a good one.

FeedSync Service is ready for your real estate website running WordPress

The goal was simple to say and hard to do: give your website instant, reliable listing updates, and take a genuinely complicated process off your plate.

We’ve done it. FeedSync Service now receives your listings directly from your CRM, and the moment a listing arrives, we deliver it straight to your connected website. No WP All Import Pro imports running on your site, no cron jobs to babysit, no plugin to maintain.

Listings on your site instantly.

Plans are simple and scale with your business. You pay for what you’re marketing, not for your whole back catalogue of listings. And you keep your full listing history either way.

Whether you’re a single agent or a multi-office group, there’s a plan sized to your listings:

  • Agent — up to 30 active listings — $228/year
  • Agency — up to 100 active listings — $490/year
  • Office — up to 300 active listings — $890/year

We ran a closed Founders Launch campaign in May that was a success, and it did something important: it gave us the runway to build this properly. Because we’re bootstrapped with no investors breathing down our necks and no deadline someone else set. We could do the unglamorous thing and fix the foundation instead of papering over it. We’re now managing over 63,000 listings on the Service, and growing.

We hit a few roadblocks on the way and what we had to solve.

I could list them all here, but you’d be reading for an hour. If you want the full trail, it’s all there: FeedSync Companion Change Log

Thankfully they’re behind us now, and I’d rather not tell you what happened and pretend the last few months were smooth… 🙂

All these issues have made a better and more robust service for you to connect your WordPress website with your CRM with instant listing sync of REAXML data.

We’d love to get you onto the Service today.

Pick the plan that fits and create your account:

→ Get started — Agent ($228/yr)
→ Get started — Agency ($490/yr)
→ Get started — Office ($890/yr)

Once you’re signed up, just reply to this email support@easypropertylistings.com.au, and we’ll take care of getting your site connected and your listings flowing.

That’s the part we handle for you.

The migration of your existing data is free, and your current feed keeps running the whole time, no downtime, nothing breaks while we move you across.

Running a bigger office? Your plan includes setup for one site. If you’ve got several sites across multiple offices, the extra sites are just $165 each (about an hour of our time to set each one up properly for you). Just mention it when you reply and we’ll sort the right setup with you.

Prefer to talk it through first?

Just email support@easypropertylistings.com.au, it’s good to hear from you either way.

We’ve spent the last few months making sure this is rock solid.

Now we’d love to get you on it.

Not using FeedSync? You haven’t been forgotten

If you’re here for Easy Property Listings rather than the feed service, there’s big news coming for EPL too, and you’ll hear it here first. We’ve been building something we’re excited about, and it’s nearly ready to show you.

Thanks for your patience while we got the foundation right. It’s good to be back.

Find out how Easy Property Listings removed a major security plugin issue in version 3.4

What a stressful time we’ve just been through which blindsided us and upended our plans, and new extension schedule and major extension updates.

Threw that right out the window.

On Wednesday July 22nd 2019 Easy Property Listings was delisted from the WordPress.org plugin directory.

WHAT! the??? was exactly was going through my head at this time… Next I visited the plugin on WordPress.org and yep, low and behold the statement.

“Your plugin is no longer available for download.”

A cold chill ran down the back of my neck when reading these words.

What did we do?

Thinking, we have no code that is nefarious or below board as you read about apps and social media platforms not caring about user privacy, that is not us… What did we do?

Thankfully WordPress.org have a system in place and after checking my email was a very clear and specific email about exactly what was wrong with Easy Property Listings and more importantly what to do about it to get back into the plugin directory.
